This is our prezi we used for our pitch. This gave us the opportunity to put all our ideas together and get some feedback from our teachers and classmates so we could improve our final idea. This included our genre and audience and why we decided on these, a basic mood board we put together of some ideas, we wanted to get feedback on the concept before we produced a final one. We briefly referred to our audience feedback and explained how this influenced some of our decisions, including our character names. We wrote a storyline so our classmates could understand where we were coming from in terms of our story and from this we could get feedback on what they thought we should include in our first two minutes. We shared an opening which particularly inspired us and who's ideas we were keen to adapt to fit our own storyline. We then put some research we did on a slide and explained the elements we liked about each of the artifacts and the aspects we didn't like. By doing this we were able to get some valuable feedback and then apply it to our later ideas.
This is a copy of the questionnaire we gave to 13 boys and 2 girls. We gave it to mostly males because they are predominantly our target audience gender but we decided it would be useful to ask a few girls too to be able to compare what the genders want for their films. This is the feedback we received from the people who took our questionnaire. From this we were able to chose names for our characters, our film, different idea we had, what elements we included and many more things that really helped us in creating a final product.
Our Pitch Feedback-
POSITIVE-
-People said they liked our plot and the way the story would develop
-People said the name of the film was good
-People liked the ideas from our mood board and thought the rope was particularly intriguing.
-People liked our character names and said they were very fitting with the genre and personalities of them.
NEGATIVE-
-We included examples of TV series as artifacts, but people questioned how we would copy these since they have a long time to develop characters and relationships whereas we have only two minutes.
-People questioned who we would get to play our characters since we were very specific with our descriptions of them, especially June.
